An alternative to Roatan's west end.
Based out in the east end is a unique proposition a world away from the bohemian west end is camp bay. Campbay is a community in the east end and occupies the northern shore of Roatan. You can't really get much further east by road anyway. Fly fishing and sport fishing is also offered as well as kayaking through the mangrove swamps and some interesting hiking - and yes of course scuba diving courses and just plain excellent fun diving.
The food is Honduran American mix at the tasty tarpon and over the dinner table the discussion rages on about if the best thing about diving here is the topography (underwater layout) or reef and fish life.

They offer 6 to a room if your on a budget and like this style of accomodation like hosteling really something quite new to Roatan.
