Now we have countless Whale Sharks that we can match with Utila and Belize and our star is H-001 he has now been seen 13 times over 9 years either in Belize or Utila or both.

This method of tagging (photo tagging) is now being used by people all over the world, not just research centers but by divers with a keen interest in Whale Sharks. The library has submissions from Australia, Honduras, Belize, Maldives, Djibouti, Philippines, Mozambique, Seychelles, Thailand, Galapagos, Hawaii, Mexico, Egypt, Indonesia, Madagascar, Kenya, Malaysia, Oman, Taiwan, Fiji, Qatar, Bahamas and Saudi Arabia.

Founders of the group (Brad Norman & Rhiannon Bennett) have continued to undertake research and campaign for the conservation of the whale shark since 1994. Also to let people know that this is a non profit organization, and I have no connection with them except a great admiration for them and we submit photo’s from Utila.
