Where are you going to put it ?

I'm not a tatoo person but I do admire those with the guts to get one. Its too permanent for me, and I would feel like getting fed up with it. I think I might go for some kind of stylised manta or shark.

I think it would be interesting to hear what other people have inked into their flesh.

Let us all know, can we see yours here when its done bob ?
ps did you find where you might go diving ?

Where are you going to put it ?

it will be on my upper right arm, above the biceps, i don't know what that part of the arm is called  Huh

I'm not a tatoo person but I do admire those with the guts to get one.

i can't believe i am doing it either (my wife still thinks i will chicken out at the last minute) i faint easily at the sight of blood and especially needles

Its too permanent for me, and I would feel like getting fed up with it.

yea, i was a little worried about that too, but i'm turning 51 soon and i figure that that fish will always remind me of diving, if i ever get so old and decrepit that i can no longer do it........we love finding those young guys when we are diving............here is a pic my wife took that inspired my artwork

and here is a pic of what the youngin looks like after she is all grown up

I think I might go for some kind of stylised manta or shark.

that sounds real cool, but it also sounds like it would take up lot of real estate  Shocked

I think it would be interesting to hear what other people have inked into their flesh.

yea, me too, lets show em peoples  Tongue

Let us all know, can we see yours here when its done bob ? .

but of course, i can't wait to show it off  Grin

ps did you find where you might go diving ?

not yet, we plan on doing 6 days of 2 tank boat dives with one or two operators, and 2 days of 2 tank shore dives on our own................

suggestions are more than welcome

hey there calvin  Cheesy

we are still making our plans to visit, 2 weeks, probably at the end of april.....we got a nice topographical map thanks to ray lopez  Wink ...............here is our research wall....

we are still trying to decide who to dive with, probably use two different operators to get different perspectives............also trying to dive on the different sides of the island.....we will probably dive 8 days.........3 days with each of them and we still want to find a couple shore dives so we can go by ourselves....we are looking to rent a house on the beech and be able to dive from there,.....we like to do a couple dives in the morning and then adventure on land afternoons........

there are so many places to see and things to do there...........how about a cold brew Huh?

http://www.roatanbrewery.com/

also, maybe spend some time on the mainland, maybe visit the mayan village...............or visit the other bay islands............

as to your question...............yes i got inked  Grin all healed up..........

so how's life in paradise?HuhHuhHuh

We will be making our first trip to Roatan in 2 weeks.  We are counting the days.

You asked for diving tattoo's.  Here is Sharon's.  It is a manta ray but if you look close you will see dolphins and a turtle embedded into the manta ray.

We will see a few of you soon.

We are staying at Luna Beach Resort and diving with the group based out of there.  We have 4 more days to wait.  We get in on Thursday!!  We will gladly post pictures and a trip report of our adventures.  Unfortunately we can only stay 10 days.

Any whale sharks spotted?

Man, that tattoo is wicked cool! I thought I was the only one obsessed enough with that fish to contemplate getting a tat of it! Cool website here! I was googling for images of the spotted drum and clicked on your pic, which led me here. Glad I found it. Roatan looks like a kickin' place to dive. I got cert'ed on Cozumel, which is where I first encountered the spotted drum juveniles. I think I'd have been happy just chillin' on the bottom   hypnotized watching those things swim until my air ran out and I floated off into the abyss.
