Title: The Mermaid of Guanaja
Post by: admin on September 13, 2006, 08:19:51 AM
The mystery of the dead Mermaid found washed up on shore is over.

The carcus is now in the San Pedro Laboratory for Animals and Sealife Honduras or S.P.L.A.S.H for short. The carcus was found by a local fisherman whose boat became waterlogged and sank, it was washed up beside the creature. The fisherman's last recollection was that of waking upon the beach with the stench of duff trout.

It certainly makes a mockery out of legends where the mermaids are portrayed as beautiful creatures like Daryl Hannah (see photos below) but "that is hollywood" quoted the fisherman who unsurprisingly wishes to remain annonymous; "but this creature saved my life and for that I can no longer take from the sea".

This by no means that you should throw all caution to the wind and expect that a creature will rise from the depths and save you and the author recommends that you show the sea the utmost respect at all times.
